MARLIZE LEYDEN

Marlize has an extensive knowledge of various aspects of journalism, publication production and corporate communication. Over the past twenty years she acted as an editor for Taalgenoot, a corporate magazine with around 68 000 readers. One of her proudest accomplishments was the founding of Hoezit!, a children’s magazine.

She has worked as a features editor for publications such as Finesse and Soul. While working for the Afrikaanse Taal en Kultuurvereniging (ATKV), she was responsible for the company’s annual reports and internal newsletter. As a freelancer she worked for Beeld, Rapport, De Kat, Vrouekeur, Leef, Lig, Finesse, Hoezit!, Taalgenoot, as well as the corporate magazines of Medihelp and the Airports Company South Africa.

She established her own business in 2010. Manjifique Media has collaborated on corporate communication and annual reports for companies such as Sanlam, The South African Weather Service, the Southern African Bibliographic Information Network (SABINET), and the South African Department of Science and Technology in various capacities over the years.

She is currently pursuing her PhD in Applied Linguistics at the North-West University.
