JEAN ROBERTSON

Jean is an effective public relations practitioner and a top-rated corporate communications consultant. An industry veteran with more than two decades of experience in the field, Jean was schooled by the doyenne of the sector the late Suzanne Weil, while working on Vodacom’s Vodacom Journalist of the Year Awards.


After cutting her teeth on the biggest telco corporate account of the time, she went on to handle the agency account for the financial capital of Africa promoting it both as a destination of choice and a prime tourism destination, among many other personal career highlights.


As founder and chief executive of JMR Consulting, her firm handles a number of key clients, providing a raft of services from media relations, crisis communication to media training in a platform agnostic manner; traversing print, broadcast, digital and social media.
Jean is responsible for conceptualising and guiding the highly successful PR campaigns of one of the country’s top four international business schools, where she’s the Public Relations Manager for Henley Africa.
