Sarah leads the content marketing practice at Machine_, part of Publicis Groupe.
After graduating from the University of Oxford, Sarah’s career began in publishing, first at Condé Nast and then at Hearst/Associated Media Publishing. Working on titles such as Glamour and Cosmopolitan, Sarah found herself at the epicentre of the publishing industry’s bid to move from being print-centric to digitally savvy.
Heavily involved in driving collaboration in content between the publishing titles and commercial clients, Sarah became integral to overseeing content marketing projects for clients such as L’Oréal, Unilever, The Foschini Group, Takealot.com and Distell, as well as establishing Cosmopolitan’s #COSMOHustle platform and running its campaign to end tampon tax, which published a report and successfully petitioned the South African government in early 2018.
Sarah joined Machine_ mid-2018 and was quickly appointed to lead its content marketing specialisation, which delivers award-winning content marketing and communications work for clients including Sanlam Reality, RCS (BNP Paribas), Mercedes-Benz, Afrocentric, Sanlam and more.
Sarah continues to contribute to titles including Harper’s Bazaar Art, Marie Claire, House & Leisure and Cosmopolitan.
