Maria Da Silva
Maria is an experienced communications practitioner and copywriter with over 20 years’ industry experience. She specialises in finance communications and during her career has covered alternative investments, asset management, individual investment, retirement planning, collective investments, stockbroking and private client services.
She has over six years’ experience as contributing editor of alternatives magazine HedgeNews Africa where she extensively covered emerging market alternatives, African markets and interviewed numerous Africa and emerging market-focused global funds. She has also moderated Africa-focused panels at alternative fund events.
Prior to returning to South Africa in 2006, Maria spent seven years in London working in global communications for blue-chip financial services companies.
Maria holds a post-Graduate Diploma in Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing in London, and a post-graduate Diploma in Financial Planning from the University of the Free State, South Africa.
